Description

How can we create a cohesive digital mental health ecosystem that effectively guides users to the right support at the right time? This webinar explores the fundamental building blocks of such an ecosystem and highlights the latest addition—a self-help wellbeing platform commissioned by the Danish Government, offering information, self-help tools, and signposting to evidence-based wellbeing and mental health resources.

The Center for Digital Psychiatry sets the stage by sharing the context for building a digital mental health ecosystem in Denmark. Grounded in extensive user research and iterative design, the webinar delves into the methodology, insights, and design principles that shape this new self-help platform. From intuitive UX/UI solutions to strategic content design, we explore how digital tools can foster personal introspection and nudge users toward help-seeking behaviors.

The webinar session will present key findings from the development process, including real-world testing and conceptual refinements. As the platform is still evolving, the webinar sets the stage for an open dialogue on optimizing user journeys and strengthening digital mental health ecosystems both locally and globally.

Key Discussion Points:

  • What are the essential components of a digital mental health ecosystem, and how do they interact?
  • How can a self-help platform serve as an effective entry point to wellbeing and mental health support?
  • What design strategies encourage engagement and help-seeking behaviors in users who are hesitant or unaware of their needs?
  • How do we balance general wellbeing content with targeted, diagnosis-specific interventions?
  • What role does UX/UI play in ensuring seamless transitions between digital self-help and professional care?

This webinar invites professionals, designers, and decision-makers to reflect on these questions and contribute to the future of digital mental health innovation and service delivery.

About the Center for Digital Psychiatry
The Center for Digital Psychiatry in Denmark is part of a university mental health hospital in the Region of Southern Denmark. The center was established in 2013 to address the shortage of mental health professionals and the growing mental health crisis. Today, the center’s mission is to develop and scale evidence-based digital solutions to promote mental health, as well as prevent, assess, and treat mental illness. The center works collaboratively with service users—young people, adults, and their relatives—and mental health professionals in developing and implementing digital services. These services are co-designed to address unmet needs, promote mental health equity, and ensure sustainable implementation. By combining human expertise and digital innovation, the center’s vision is to build a proactive, holistic, and sustainable healthcare system that empowers individuals and communities to manage their health and maintain well-being.
